Changing Education Paradigms

If I could change the education system, I would move the focus away from mass-producing as many kids with a minimum amount of knowledge and put it towards more of a full learning environment.

Lesson Planning 101

My first idea for a lesson is make an entertaining AND informative video for food safety, maybe even a series of videos!
My next idea is make a poster showing different Culinary schools and giving details and stuff.
My 3rd idea is to explain the dangers of cross-contamination.

My First Week As A Teacher

I'm interning at the BCTAL.

My Mentor Teacher is Elizabeth Lundy.
The class I am interning in is Culinary Arts, grades 11 and 12.
When I first walked in, I felt kind of awkward, mostly because the "kids" are my age.
I am looking forward to working with Ms. Lundy, and I am happy with what I've done with her so far.

Well... This is awkward...

I got sidetracked and never got any blog posts done, so I'm going to attempt to get all of them in one day. Wish me luck!
